Insights and Thoughts on Building a Hexo Blog with Vercel#
Background#
Recently, I chose to use Hexo as my blog generation framework and Vercel as my deployment platform. Hexo attracted me with its simple and fast architecture and rich plugin system, while Vercel became my top choice for its outstanding performance and ease of use.
Building Process#
- Installing and Configuring Hexo: First, I downloaded the latest installation package from the Hexo official website and followed the official documentation to configure it. From generating articles to defining page styles, the whole process was very smooth.
- Connecting Vercel: Next, I created a new project on the Vercel platform and linked my local Hexo project to it. With just a few simple steps, I successfully deployed my blog to the cloud.
- Optimization and Debugging: After the initial deployment, I spent some time optimizing and debugging the pages, including image compression and style adjustments. Vercel provides powerful logging and monitoring features, allowing me to quickly identify and resolve issues.
Thoughts and Experiences#
The process of building a Hexo blog with Vercel was very enjoyable. Hexo's lightweight design allowed me to quickly build blog pages that met my needs, while Vercel's powerful deployment and monitoring features allowed me to focus on content creation. Additionally, Vercel's ease of use left a deep impression on me, as even as a beginner, I was able to quickly get started.
